Police academy for Lincoln U

Lincoln University is getting its very own police officer training academy. Campus Chief Gary Hill says recruiting and developing minority officers is tough right now …     

Hill adds that the students will hand – picked and will receive tuition assistance. He admits that even the Lincoln Police Department is four officers short now because of recruiting and retention issues.

Lincoln will be the only historically black college with a police academy.
