JCMO riverport funding in danger

There’s some money at stake in the Missouri Senate that could delay Jefferson City’s proposed riverport. Cole County Commissioner Harry Otto also chairs the Heartland Port Authority …   

Senators are expected to decide whether to let that funding stand today (Fri). Otto says a Mid – Missouri riverport would allow companies a cheaper way to ship their goods. A 116 – acre plot next to the Algoa prison east of Jefferson City is being looked at as a potential site.
