A man convicted of killing a Jefferson City man draws a life prison term. Jahuan Whirley was just 16 when he shot Justin Kammerich during a robbery in 2018. Another victim was shot but survived. Whirley was convicted of murder and other charges in March.

JCMO family loses home to fire

Five people are left homeless by a Jefferson City house fire. The fire broke out Friday in the 200 block of Capitol Court. The house was heavily damaged but no one was hurt. The Fire Marshal’s office is helping with the investigation.
