JCMO man drowns in river

A Jefferson City man drowns in the Meremac River. The patrol says Alexander Terrell jumped in the water to help someone struggling in the river in Crawford County between Saint Louis and Rolla yesterday (sun) afternoon. The 24-year-old was pronounced dead at a Sullivan hospital.

Investigators name JCMO shooting victim

We now know the name of the man killed in a homicide in Jefferson City. Officers say 35-year old Demond Jones was found with several gunshot wounds on Jackson Street early Wednesday. He later died on the way to a hospital. Witnesses saw the shooter run off. No arrests yet.
